Most people go to church because they are looking for something. Some want religion or its values for their children. Some seek answers to questions about the meaning of life or need help through a difficult time. Others seek friendship. Still others go to church because it enhances their career or because it pleases a parent.
The lucky ones find what they truly need in a church community. Much more importantly, when part of a church, everyone has an opportunity to capture a glimpse of who God is.
In church, people are reminded that God cares deeply for them however they enter. Here, people can experience the love of God in Jesus Christ in both the good and the painful times of life.
The church is made up of a congregation of people. Behind all the good intentions to offer friendship, hospitality, good music, inspiration, and loving care, church people sometimes fail miserably at these things, yet God still remains faithful to the church. Why? Because God gathers all kinds of people with all their flaws together in the church to help and to heal them.
Maybe we don't find everything we are looking for in the church, but God will be there.
If you are looking for God, let us help you in your search.
